The national selection senior of Haiti who occupied the 50th place in the publication of February finds itself now in the 51st position in front of Costa Rica (53th) and Jamaica (54th) in the FIFA world rankings released Thursday. And 5th in the CONCACAF conducted by Mexico.

The President Michel Martelly has officially appointed former basketball player Olden Polynice as Ambassador to Haiti as part of a ceremony at the National Palace Thursday, November 15, 2012. The Head of State expressed confidence in the new ambassador will continue to help project a new image of Haiti.

The Haitian karatekas have excelled at the 24th International Tournament of Karate organized by the American Federation of Martial Arts (AFMA), which took place on 18 and 19 August 2012 by winning 23 medals. They were received Wednesday at the National Palace by President Michel J. Martelly.
